To what extent should AI be used in society?

The transformation of AI technology will usher a future generation into new challenges and responsibilities. The primary focus is the evolution of available jobs. While 7 million jobs are predicted to dissolve from 2017 to 2037, many more job openings will arise as well. Job opportunities are impacted in fields of retail and similar businesses, where automation is increasing. The possible question is how machines will either coexist or overpower human work, and the answers to that are not available yet. The first impacts will occur within the healthcare management system. As of right now, healthcare has problems with inefficient protocols. AI has the ability to accelerate these systems and provide personalized healthcare for patients. Furthermore, solving criminal cases and transportation will eventually become faster due to the production of AI materials.

Transparency and privacy is another factor in determining the use of AI. In a world where information is located online, data always leaves a record behind. If consumers are not aware of their own privacy rights, they will be unable to keep their data safe. There are other unfair outcomes that can emerge from machine learning algorithms. Machine learning is a sector of AI that analyzes vast quantities of data, which require predictions. Facial recognition technology could lead to problems in real estate, loan forgiveness, and others. AI uses mathematical ideas to generate algorithms for application, but it is never an animal or a human. It doesn’t have emotional intelligence, which is beneficial in certain career paths like teaching.

AI is speedy, quick, and efficient– with power capabilities larger than any human workforce. They lack the intuition and emotional sensitivity of humans, however. The question is not about the competition between the two, but how both will cooperate with one another. AI has imitation strategies to mimic behaviors, although it can never truly replace a human. For that reason, AI can be used in lower-skilled jobs which only need patterns.

Deep Blue was a supercomputer program that defeated the Chess Grandmaster Garry Kasporav. Kasporav eventually realized the benefits of working together with the AI machine, rather than casting it aside. Society gains its advantages from streamlining certain careers with AI. Nothing can ever replace the intuitive intelligence of human beings, and rather than decide between the both, mankind can use technology depending on the situation.
